St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Dola, Ohio) : ウィキペディア英語版 | St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (Dola, Ohio)
The founders of Saint John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Washington Township, Hardin County, Ohio, came to America from Bavaria and Saxony, Germany and settled in the area in the early 1840s. Pastor August Michaelis of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregation near Jenera, Ohio, founded St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church on May 6, 1854. The first church was made entirely out of wood and the Dedication services were held October 20, 1873. The first church was dismantled and the cornerstone of the second church was laid on the same location as the dismantled first church on September 5, 1905. The second church was officially dedicated on September 23, 1906. That church still stands today. This church is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) since its merger from the American Lutheran Church.
